Novice Class Page
The Novice class is for our youngest drivers, ages 6-8. Novice drivers use a sprint chassis with either a Briggs and Stratton flathead or a clone 6.5 hp motor with a purple restrictor plate between the carburetor and the intake manifold to reduce fuel to the motor thus reducing horsepower. The kart and driver must weigh at least 250 lbs. This class runs methanol for fuel.
